Hopefully it's light enough to get up a staircase with one person. That's the challenge for residential.

These wheels UP units are EXTREMELY controlable.
Clean better than the DOWN units, due to more head weight and are far more MANEUVERABLE in tight spaces.

If I bought one I would definitely need to do something about narrowing that spray pattern, or I would most certainly be swelling some MDF.

Interesting Mike, thanks for posting. It looks like a nice machine. I just picked up a slightly used spyder. I don't do a ton of carpet cleaning any more but I think it wll be a nice addition to my cimexes on some commercial accounts. I've had 2 op machines in the past and didn't have great results so I'll give it another go with some of the microfiber pads.

Get some gel grips for that Spyder, its a very vibey unit.
My hands would go numb after an hour wit the stock hard rubber grips

I can't say with real experience yet but plan on 1000 ft of moderate soiling.

For large commercial, the Phoenix will be faster. For small jobs or residential, the Raptor will be ideal. Waiting to see how easy it is to go upstairs in a 3 level townhouse.

the PHX will be easier but the Raptor will get better results and quicker...

For the highrises I do, having the 2.5 gallon jugs allows me to do at least 3 hallways before replacing it. A 1 gallon jug isn't going to cut it.
