And for the big ones... 8”....
Well, straight hang is best, or flat dry.....

those two rugs dont weight anything near what the door does

Here is my hanging rack. 1” galvanized pipe with 2” PVC sleeve over it, attached to the overhead door track.
Air handler attached to the ceiling for quicker drying.

Finally got me a 12’ board for my rug rack today. Much easier to get these heavy bastards up. I’ll still make a winch system. And before any of you scholars say anything, it's shadows.
