Had to clean a three story house yesterday. 43 stairs and snow white urine soaked carpet. It was a real pain in the rear, and back. But I pulled through.

Clear your hose and take off what you don't need. Makes life a lot easier. I'd rather walk up and down the stairs a few times rather than deal with that snake pit.

I lay the wand down and pull it back it back to the van to stage it. That much hose you should be due for a break.

I know you had a long day, but you gotta be more efficient. Like the above stated, take off what you dont need (better heat and suction too) Plus less of a trip hazard for both you and your customer.

Should be a picture of what not to do.

Wasn’t going to happen on that job. This was a three story house with large runs between rooms.

Hows your back? You should consider getting a weight lifting belt for back support. I use one.

It’s getting better. Today the healing made very good progress. I’m still a little sore and weak but I’m almost back to normal. I’ve turned down three stretching jobs since hurting myself. I think I’m done trying to be the hero all the time. Cleaning carpets is what I enjoy. Not the repairs and stretching. I’m busy enough to not have to do that stuff.

Tie your hose off with a bungee cord, then move it down the stairwell as you clean

No parking or water for 240 Sqft of carpet. I wasn't going to mess with it. The foam fillers did an excellent job.
